EARLY HEAD START NEWS What is Early Head Start? Early Head Start (EHS) provides services to pregnant women and infants and toddlers age birth to three years. Families are served at 3 center sites: Merriman EHS Center - 2600 Merriman Rd, Medford West Medford EHS Center – 891 Stewart Ave., Medford Cave Junction EHS Center – 553 E. River St., Cave Junction We provide 3 service options: Parent/Child Combination Option: One weekly 3.5 hour parent/child center-based group and 3 monthly home visits Toddler Combination Option: Two weekly 3.5 hour center-based groups and 2 monthly home visits. Full Day Infant Childcare Option (Merriman Only): To be eligible, families must be either working or living in Medford and receiving Employment Related Day Care (ERDC) subsidy from DHS.
